Love is great.
You get to physically, emotionally and sometimes spiritually show someone how much you care.
And then there was the crazy woman who stabbed the man she liked last year. Yikes.
Still, have you ever been in a situation where someone loved you so much you wanted to divorce them
Like, a no-arguments relationship kind of love.
Yeah, it happened.
Overwhelming Love
A dream for us might not be a dream for some.
According to Gulf News, a woman has requested to divorce her husband in a Sharia court in India 18 months after her marriage.
The reason? The guy was showing just too much love and affection.
It seems that the problem here was…there was no problem?
She reported that her husband never once fought with her, stating that she could not digest her husband’s love.
“Neither does he ever shout at me, nor has he ever disappointed me over any issue. I am feeling suffocated in such an environment. Sometimes he cooks for me, and also helps me in performing household chores.”
The woman also added that her husband basically forgave her for any mistake she made but she ‘wanted to argue with him’.
So he’s basically perfect.
Where is the problem, again?
Attempts at Divorce
Believe it or not, the woman actually went forward with the divorce attempts.
Naturally, the Sharia court cleric got shocked when she gave the above reasons for seeking a divorce.
The cleric later rejected her plea calling it frivolous.
It is here that the woman seized her attempts and called it a day…
…except she didn’t and elevated the matter all the way to the local panchayat (governing body).
You couldn’t write a better fanfiction.
Much like the cleric, the panchayat was also confused about the matter and asked if the woman had other reasons to divorce him.
Spoilers: she didn’t.
Hubby Steps In
As loving and agreeable the man might’ve been, he wasn’t going to agree to a divorce.
He told the panchayat that all he wanted to do was to keep his wife happy. The man even asked the Sharia court to return the case.
Which I’m sure they were glad to since they did and asked the couple to resolve this matter privately.
But look at it this way, maybe all the wife wanted was for him to learn to have his own thoughts and opinions?
Unfortunately, the answer lies solely with her. We can only hope that’s the case.
Love also requires communication, after all.
