S’pore Dog Trainers Filmed Training Dogs ‘Harshly’; Case Referred To Authorities

Training could, at times, be tough. After all, there’s a reason why it’s called “training” and not a “walk in the park.”

But sometimes, training can be unnecessarily cruel. So much so that we can’t help but question:

“How could anyone bring themselves to do something like this?”

S’pore Dog Trainers Filmed Training Dogs ‘Harshly’; Police Report Lodged

Recently, several dog trainers from K-9 Obedience Services have come under fire for their treatment of pet critters.

In a video that was posted on Facebook recently, two trainers could be seen ill-treating their dogs in a myriad of manners.

In the first segment of the video, a trainer could be seen lifting a small dog by its leash, despite its yelps.

In another segment, a second trainer could be seen using his leg to nudge a white dog.

Nearing the end of the video, the first trainer attempted to drag the white dog along, as the trainers rounded up the critters.

As a result, the white dog ended up getting choked.

In the caption of the video, the Facebook user wrote:

“I really hope dog owners, especially first timer(s), would do some research on the school/daycare/dogwalking services.”

“I doubt anyone would pay good money just to get their beloved dog choked, kicked, yanked etc.”

He then expressed his disapproval.

“I certainly do not agree with this training/daycare/dogwalking center’s method.”

Case Referred To Authorities

Meanwhile, SPCA appears to have since caught wind of the situation.

In a separate Facebook post, the animal shelter acknowledged the viral video, and concurred that the methods are “completely unacceptable from an animal welfare standpoint.”

Stating that such methods are too common, they stated that “it’s time for such practices to end”, and that they have since referred the case to the relevant authorities.

Other Instances

Unfortunately, such instances of dog “training” are indeed far from uncommon.

Back in March 2021, a female was filmed walking 10 dogs when one of the critters walked in front of her.

She then kicked it twice in a row.

Ouch.
