Any self-respecting Bubble Tea fan would have known about Xing Fu Tang, the highly popular bubble tea chain from Taiwan (where else?). Unlike other chains, Xing Fu Tang’s drinks are made for Instagram: just take a look here.
The first outlet has opened in the new Century Square about a month ago (28 June 2019), and likes it close rival Tiger Sugar, it’s set to open more outlets.
Last month, during its opening, the chain revealed that they’ve intentions to open its second outlet in Ngee Ann City by the middle of 2020.
But it turns out that you won’t need to wait for a year—it’s apparently opening its second outlet as a pop-up store in Takashimaya, B2, Food Village, today.
And what better way to let more people know about this new outlet than free drinks?
From today until 31 July 2019 (Wednesday), the first 80 customers (hi, Huawei) would be entitled to a 1-for-1 offer.

It’s only valid for one redemption per customer, and terms and conditions apply, though I’m pretty sure you won’t need to be above 50 to enjoy this deal because the elderly might not even know what bubble tea is.
What’s So Special About Xing Fu Tang?
You might be wondering: it’s yet another Tiger Sugar. What’s so special this time?
For a start, their pearls are stir-fried and supposedly chewier, and brown sugar powder is sprinkled atop the drink and torched, turning it into an Instagram-worthy drink.
However, do note that it might be a tad too sweet, and you can’t choose your sugar level. Also, if you’ve read the comments, you’d know that queues are of course expected, so make sure you’re willing to wait…especially now that there’s a promotion.
Anyways, the war against diabetes has been deferred—again.
