Don’t Say Bojio: 100 Free Prawn Mee to be Given in Jurong East & Bedok (Today & Tomorrow)

Isn’t it amazing to have a tantalising bowl of prawn mee and do a good deed at the same time?

In celebration of Ramadan, Deanna’s Kitchen is giving out 200 bowls of prawn mee. 100 Regular bowls to be given out at Jurong on Tuesday, 21 May 2019 (which is today, which means when you read this, it’s probably over) and another 100 bowls on Wednesday, 22 May 2019, at Bedok.

This is part of a charity drive to raise money for the mosque.

As can be seen in the image above, a bowl of regular prawn mee usually costs $3.50. So that can give you a general idea of how much to donate!

There will be a tabong (donation can) for you to contribute as much as you would like in return for the food.

Deanna’s kitchen first announced that it would be running its charity drive in Bedok, however, due to great response, it decided to run the charity drive at its Jurong outlet too.

Food reviews

So some of you may not have heard about Deanna’s kitchen before this and may be asking yourself what’s the hype about this.

This may be because its locations are on the far ends of Singapore: one in Jurong, another in Toa Payoh (that’s closed now) and lastly in Bedok.

Well, Deanna’s kitchen specialises in authentic halal prawn mee.

While I have never had a bowl of Deanna’s prawn mee, it is rated 4.4/5 on Google reviews so I imagine it must be a sumptuous bowl of prawn mee.

Members of the Muslim community testify that this bowl of prawn mee will not disappoint as it gives a generous portion and the soup is perfect for a cold day. I imagine that means that this is a good bowl of comfort and homely feels.

Another reviewer also sings praises of the prawn mee stating that it is ‘sedap‘, this means that it is absolutely delicious.

The charity drive

Are the reviews causing you to salivate?

Well, here are further details so that you can plan your time!

It starts from 4 pm onwards at each location. Every person in the queue is entitled to up to three bowls of prawn mee.

I know that the timing may not be favourable to the working folk because knowing Singaporeans, the food will be snapped up pretty fast.

However, don’t hesitate to head on down to try this highly-raved-about bowl of prawn mee. And if you are feeling generous, you could probably donate too!
