While we slave away to pay for our HDB flat, one British tycoon shells out millions for a bungalow.
Sir James Dyson, the founder of British consumer electronics manufacturer, Dyson, is reportedly set to purchase a bungalow in Bukit Timah for around $45 million.
You probably know Dyson for its amazing yet insanely expensive fans.
Well, this bungalow will blow you away.
A stunning work of art
Doesn’t this look like a place James Bond would live? Well, I suppose many would consider Sir Dyson the James Bond of the electronics world.
What’s even more startling is that he purchased this S$45 million bungalow just three weeks after spending $74 million on a Tanjong Pagar penthouse.
While his penthouse sits in the middle of the bustling central business district of Tanjong Pagar, his new Bukit Timah bungalow is nestled on a mound among a lush garden full of trees.
It’s basically one big, magnificent treehouse.
It also utilizes an “open concept” which allows for more sunlight to pass through.
If you thought you couldn’t get more jealous, well what if I told you there’s an infinity pool that curves around the house?
As you can see, the beautiful curved infinity pool is surrounded by trees, combining the feel of nature with a splash of luxury.
And then there’s the stunning spiral staircase overlooking the infinity pool.
Ok, you can pick your jaw up from the floor now.
A $74 million penthouse and a $45 million bungalow in one month. What’s next for the British billionaire?

Well, whatever it is, it will probably be huge, expensive, and heavenly.
One has to ask the question though, why the hell does one man need a house so damn big?
Well, I guess when you have millions flowing out of your pocket, you’re probably thinking “Why not?”.
Plus, how many of us can swim to our dining table?
