Good day everyone, and welcome to another episode of “stupidity 101”!
Today, we’ll be taking a look at the teen who crashed a lorry into a gas box near to block 447A, Jalan Kayu! That’s right, a teenager! A 16-year-old boy on top of that!
As you would imagine, he has no driving license at all since he is only 16! So, how did he get his hands on a vehicle? What’s more, it’s a lorry!

Apparently, on Monday (25 Dec), the teen decided to take his friend’s lorry out for a spin without permission from his friend! Yikes, talk about bad decisions!
Naturally, his little adventure did not go as planned! Or else we wouldn’t be talking about this incident either! After crashing into the gas box, gas started leaking out and that prompted the evacuation of a coffee shop close by!
On Tuesday, the day after the incident, the police said in a statement that they were alerted to the incident at around 6.20 pm on Monday! Man, can you guys imagine if it’s a regular working day and not Christmas!
I cannot even begin to imagine the panic and hysteria this would cause!
As usual, our brave brothers and sisters from SCDF responded swiftly and used two water jets to disperse the gas fumes! To be safe, they have also shut off the gas supply and evacuated a coffee shop nearby!
“Hey, what happened to the teen?”, you might ask.
Fret not, my dear viewers! Unwise as he may be, we’re still talking about a life after all! The teen was conscious and alert when he was being taken to Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital.
You’ll also be pleased to know that no other injuries were reported!

Investigations are still ongoing at the moment, but I think we can safely say that it’s important to use your brain before you attempt anything!
