Tell me, sick or sick?
This man is 62 years old. He allegedly showed an obscene video to two girls aged 15 and 10 at a coffee shop at Block 111, Toa Payoh Lorong 1.
The two young girls were apparently sitting at a table across from his and he decided to include them in the ‘fun’ he was having.

Thankfully, the mum realized what was happening, screamed at him and approached the police for help.

He has since been arrested by the police on the charge of “causing public nuisance”.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Hmm, this is not the only incident that happened in Singapore. Just a few months back in August, another uncle who was reported to be in his 50s was caught watching pornography on his phone at a McDonald’s outlet in Hillion Mall.
There’s even evidence.
Hmm, I don’t understand. Why do people do that?
Yes, if we’re still on the topic of freedom… human rights… but that’s just an insane act.
And if you think what the uncles above did were disgusting… I’ve got something even nauseating. It will make your stomach churn.

This guy named Joshua Robinson, who is an American mixed martial arts instructor, went up to a 6-year-old little girl and showed her something on his mobile phone.
Now we all know what this “something” is. But it’s not of others but himself engaging in the act.
In fact, after showing it to her, he asked her if she liked it.
He then told her not to tell anyone about the incident by putting his finger to his lips and saying “shhhhh”.
I know, we all want to bash this guy up.

He was sentenced to four years jail for various sexual offences, including unprotected sex with two 15-year-old girls filmed on his mobile phone and possession of 321 films containing child pornography with children as young as two years old.
Omg. He did all that and was only jailed for 4 years?
In a state of shock.
Never mind about that for now. It’s all in the past but there’s something more serious worth discussing about.
We’re talking about a traumatic experience for the girls who are shown these obscene videos and there must be a proper follow-up and closure to such issues.

According to Ms. Rachel Lee, a principal social worker at Fei Yue Family Service Centre who works with children who have experienced trauma, her advice is such that the parents or guardian “should continue to talk about the incident“.
As unpleasant as it might be, they “should also tell the child that what happened is wrong, but (they are) not at fault.”
Ms. Lee added that, it is good for parents to talk to their children about sex, but in an age-appropriate manner.
It’s not easy for both parents and children experiencing this but as the old saying goes, prevention is better than cure.
And parents, please be on the lookout for sexual predators.
