The video went viral last night.

As of now, there are nearly 6 million views (just so you know…Singapore’s population is only at 5.4 million), so you should probably already know about it or have watched it (maybe even multiple times since the lady in the video was so unintelligible).

On the off chance that you have not, here is a short summary of what happened in the 5 mins 40 secs clip.

Right at the beginning, an Indian lady was seen entering the Owndays outlet while angrily yelling. She then proceeded to hit two of the staff members present, one of whom was calling the police, and the other taking a video of the lady.

After a whole minute of agitated yelling and hitting, a security guard showed up, as well as three helpful passersby, who all attempted to shield the staff members and calm the lady down.

The lady had her bracelet fly into the storeroom on the side when she was hitting the staff, which then prompted her to scream at the staff to retrieve her bracelet. She even attempted to frame the staff of doing something to her bracelet.

Several minutes of incoherent yelling and attempted assault later, the guard managed to get her to sit down. The video ends here.

As of now, police are investigating the incident, and have arrested the 45-year-old lady.

Owndays has also issued a statement on Facebook explaining how the situation started, and commended the professionalism of the staff members. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Currently, the general consensus from the public is that the lady was being really unreasonable and her violence should not be condoned. Most Facebook comments agree, just in a… less than nice way.

However, it is quite unknown right now why the lady was so aggressive and upset in the video. Until official statements are issued, we can only speculate what had that shopper done to incur such wrath.
