In fact, if things continue, it wouldn’t be a stretch to call it Singapore’s version of the Bermuda triangle.

And that’s putting it lightly.

McLaren & Taxi Collided At Yishun

On 22 October, a McLaren and taxi were involved in an accident along Yishun Avenue 1.

Both drivers were injured.

What happened?

A McLaren and a taxi were involved in an accident along Yishun Ave 1 towards Yishun Avenue 8, at around 3:59 a.m.

Various Stompers happened upon the vicinity post-accident, and they informed the journalist site of the occurrence.

They also took photos of the scene.

There was also a video version of the aftermath.

A 56-year-old male driver and a 27-year-old car driver were reportedly conscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

It’s unclear how the accident had exactly taken place. Police investigations are still ongoing.

Netizens were agreeable on one thing: the McLaren’s demise was unfortunate.

Yet strangely, nobody paid their last respects to the wrecked ComfortDelGro taxi.

There were some who deliberated whether the car was even the 27-year-old’s.

The last part struck a chord with me though: “Humble man drives a Toyota, not this kind of supercar to impress friend”.

What a way to insult Toyotas. Simply splendid.

Moral of the story

What can we take away from this incident?

Well for one, drive safely on the road.

For two, always be respectful of other cars, whether it’s a Toyota, Mercs or a Cherry QQ.

For three, don’t drive a supercar in Yishun.

The bad luck district will not tolerate it.
