Lincoln Tshe Kwok Ming, a 36-year-old currently unemployed ex-engineer, had been taking an upskirt video at the mall using his Samsung phone, by positioning it on his thigh, camera lens facing upwards. He did this by standing on the escalator behind a woman and her friend.
Fortunately for the woman, her friend confronted Tshe over the video, asked to look at it and found the exact upskirt footages.
Police were alerted, and then arrested Tshe.

Admitted To Taking Upskirt Videos Since 2011
As it turns out, the 211 videos in this case, which consisted of upskirts and in changing rooms at 313@Somerset, Bugis+ and Junction 8 shopping malls, were taken from February 2016 to the November 2017.

Huh, so what about the “since 2011”?
You see, the older videos taken before that are not the subject of charges in this case. That is to say, his sentencing here only takes into account the 211 videos from 2016 to 2017.
Does that mean there’s an unknown number of videos that we don’t know about? The older videos were stored in a computer in his storeroom, and the newer ones in his study room computer. Copies of newer videos are also in his hard disk.

Here’s something slightly more interesting: Tshe’s lawyers claim that he suffered from paraphilic disorder and persistent depressive disorder. They sought 12 weeks’ jail, while the prosecutor asked for nine months.
A persistent depressive disorder is basically depression, so that’s pretty easy to understand.
But simi is paraphilic disorder?
From Wikipedia, it’s “sexual interests in objects, situations, or individuals that are atypical”, and browsing the list of paraphilias includes things like an erotic interest in archery (?), children or specific inanimate objects (??).
Isn’t sexual interest in upskirt pretty… normal?
