Winter Dreams Come True: Explore Singapore’s Top 9 Snow-Filled Christmas Delights
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas~ Well, at least in Singapore it is.
With the temperature outside comparatively cooler, our annual Christmas On A Great Street brightening up Orchard Road, and fast food chains churning out bundle deals one after another to capitalise on our holiday (and kiasu) spirit… This is about the most authentic Singaporean Christmas experience as you can get.
But why not take it a step further, and actually see snow on our tropical island?
Instead of coughing up your savings to travel to other countries to experience winter (some of us do not have the moolah, and by some I mean me), here are some places where you can live out your snowy fantasies; a hop, skip and an MRT ride away!
Snow City Singapore
Of course, we cannot talk about snow in Singapore without bringing up the OG in the game. Open all year round, Snow City allows Singaporeans to experience what it’s like to live in a sub-zero winter wonderland as and when we feel like it.
For the kids and kids-at-heart, there is a bumper car arena, a shooting arena and the pièce de résistance: a 60-metre-long snowy slope for you to slide down on tubes.
For the parents (and also for the kids-at-heart), you can kick back and enjoy a craft beer at the Ice Bar.
If you’re too busy during the Christmas season to enjoy the festivities, fret not as our good ol’ Snow City Singapore isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
