At this stage of the pandemic, we’re all used to living life with half our faces in obscurity. Going out bare-faced (in every sense of the word) is a foreign feeling, and this writer certainly has had numerous nightmares about forgetting to wear a mask in public places. 

Unfortunately, it seems that we won’t be able to feel the breeze on our cheeks again for quite some time, as masks are most definitely here to stay. 

Who’s to say we can’t have fun with them though? 

With the integration of masks into our everyday life, we’re definitely craving some variety at this stage, anything to make mask-wearing a slightly more enjoyable experience. 

So if you’re looking to get your hands on a wider variety of masks aside from the government-issued ones, look no further. Here are all the different mask options available in Singapore for you to check out.

Surgical Masks 

These single-use masks flew off the shelves when the pandemic first hit the shores of Singapore, but now they’re readily available at most health and beauty retailers. 

These OG masks can be found at reputable stores like Watsons or Guardian, in a handy little box promising quantity. This one from Guardian comes in a box of 50 for $12, as does this one from Watsons—you can be sure that you’ll be getting a bang for your buck with these. 

Surgical masks might not offer much in the way of style unless you’re going for that clinical aesthetic, but they’re highly effective and very comfortable indeed. 

Do remember, however, that they need to be tossed away after being used once—for all their benefits, they may not be the most environmentally friendly option out there. 

Reusable Masks 

If having to throw away a mask every single time you go out really puts you off, there are plenty of options for reusable masks which are much more eco-friendly. Here are some well-known retailers from which you can purchase reusable masks without breaking the bank.

The mask has been known for being light and breathable, and relatively comfortable for Singapore’s humidity. High quality and value-for-money—what’s not to love? 

Guess what? The AIRism masks are back in action, but they’re new and improved—they’re now available in the shades navy, periwinkle and taupe, a change from when they were only available in black and white. 

Improvements have also been made to the mask for a more sleek look and comfortable wearing. Now we just have to get ready for them to be officially launched in Singapore!

You’ll definitely turn heads with this one, what with their vibrant hues and quirky designs. They also make a great conversation starter, as you’re bound to be peppered with questions of, “Eh, where you get your mask from ah?”

If you’re looking for delightfully playful designs that exhibit your inner childlike spirit, look no further than Face Wedge.
