This is classic. No, “classic” won’t even cut it: it’s way beyond classic.

I mean, look at this.

Posted since 26 April 2018 (when Avengers: Infinity War was released), it has since garnered well over 77K Shares and over 2.9K comments.

If you’re not aware, this is Robert Downey Jr., the actor who played Iron Man in the Marvel movies. And these images seem to be behind-the-scenes of him putting on his arc reactor, a device that keeps him alive in the movie, which is also the source of his power to his Iron Man suit.

The Facebook Page, with over 78K Likes, has a mixture of memes, images, and some “fake news”.

Now, this is the reason why Singapore has to hold a form a Select Committee to study the issue of deliberate online falsehoods (i.e. fake news), and why Facebook is being targeted.

I mean, if you read through the comments on this fake news, some people are apparently really affected (though you can’t tell if they’re just trying to display kindness online).

For content consumers like you and me, it is imperative that we have S.U.R.E (it’s a campaign by NLB) mindset: Source, Understand, Research, Evaluate.

And by the way, I’m not going to give any spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War, but I’m certain Tony Stark doesn’t need money. He needs to turn back the time #justsaying

Now you know what Singaporeans are talking about today; do check back tomorrow for another piece of news of the day!
