Rowdy diners at kopitiams are a frequent occurrence; nothing special, especially during late night hours.
But when a fight breaks out? Oh, now that’s something.
Quarrels With Beer Lady
An uncle patronising a Kopitiam ends up having beef with not just the beer lady but also with other patrons breaking up the conflict.

The incident took place at 10:15 pm on Monday (29 May) at the S11 food centre located on the ground floor of Block 107, Hougang Avenue 1.
The whole ordeal began when the uncle, unnamed, took offence at a wrong order the beer lady made when she mistakenly served him and his friend a few bottles of beer.
Patrons who happened to be there during the incident recalled hearing the uncle getting agitated and angrily shouting at the beer lady that he didn’t order any beer. He was also displeased with the tone she used when calling out to him.

Fighting With Everyone
The conflict took a bizarre turn when, for some reason, the uncle started to quarrel with his friend.
And no, he hasn’t concluded his beef with the beer lady.
Weirdly enough, he was reportedly arguing with both parties at the same time.Â
Talking to Shin Min Daily, Guo Jin Xiang, an employee at the beverage stall, stated that serval diners nearby managed to persuade the uncle to calm down, which he did, for a while.
You’ll think he’ll be tired after arguing with two people, but no. Surprisingly, this man has the stamina of a 15-year-old young punk.

The uncle then proceeded to argue with the diners who were facilitating as peacemakers just shortly before.
According to Guo, he shouted loudly at why those people wanted to talk to him “like that”, and weirdly enough, another shouting match broke out again for reasons incomprehensible.
The whole twist and turn came to a halt when the uncle fell in front of one of the stalls.
No further updates have been given on the uncle’s condition, nor any new details that could give more clarity into the whole incident.
When reporters arrived at the scene, the area had already been cordoned off, and the police were conducting their investigations.

I guess we’ll never know what went on in the uncle’s head that night.
