Whatever people do in private should be none of our business.
As long as nothing illegal is going on, we don’t need to engage with them and just move on with our lives.
But when you put your say… private activities out in public to traumatise others, then there’s a problem right there.
Foodpanda Confirms That Man Who Masturbated on Bus While Sitting Opposite Female Passengers Was Former Employee
Imagine you’re just taking a bus somewhere without much thought.
Suddenly, this guy just boards it, sits across you and begins to masturbate.
While extremely creepy, this is exactly what happened to Facebook user Jorene Ng.
The post does have some disturbing imagery, so we do advise you to proceed with caution.
In a post on Monday (29 Mar), she said that she and her sisters were on bus 225G around 12:05am that day.
Along with them, a man wearing a jacket bearing the foodpanda logo got on.
After taking the seat opposite them, Ms Ng noted that he put his hand in his pants and started masturbating.
He also reportedly never took his eyes off the women.
Getting Help
Ms Ng stated that they were all traumatised by his actions.
The group approached the bus captain for help and immediately got off at the next stop…
… and the man did as well.
Thankfully, he headed off in the opposite direction of the women.
Ms Ng speculated in one of her photos that the guy probably stayed around Bedok, particularly around block 537.
In a last short video, she asked people to help identify the guy should they come across him.
She also touched on the fact that revealing clothes or not, no one should be carrying out such acts in public.
Ms Ng noted that even then, none in her group were wearing anything revealing.
The post has been shared almost 80 times as of this writing.
Several comments asked for the Singapore Police Force to get involved. Meanwhile, some also noted seeing the man at coffee shops in the Bedok area.
Man Formerly Worked At Foodpanda
This reached sites such as Must Share News, which reached out to foodpanda regarding this incident.
foodpanda did reply, saying that he was a former employee who was dismissed in February.
They’ve also gotten in contact with Ms Ng to offer her their support.
If you witness any such cases of sexual harassment in public, please contact the police immediately.
With sexual assault and harassment cases being on the rise, we can hopefully help make it a safer place for each other to live in.
Here’s hoping that the man did not do this to anyone else.
