Fundraiser Set Up for Six-Year-Old Son of Couple Killed in Tampines Crash

A fundraiser has been set up on Give.Asia to support the six-year-old son of the couple who died following the Tampines Avenue 12 crash on 29 October.

The appeal, reported by Mothership on 31 October, was started by a relative to provide financial support for the child.

As of the morning of 1 November, the campaign had raised more than S$269,000 from over 7,000 donors.

Donations Intended for His Care and Future

The organiser says donations will be used solely for the boy’s benefit, including his living costs, education, healthcare and longer-term needs.

The campaign proposes a dedicated savings arrangement to safeguard the money for him. This remains subject to the necessary legal and banking arrangements.

The campaign page says Give.Asia will manage the funds and pay them directly to GIVE Humanity.

The boy is currently being cared for by his late mother’s family while legal guardianship arrangements are being settled, the organiser said.

Explaining the decision to start the appeal, the organiser said members of the public had asked how they could help and were looking for a central place to contribute.

“No amount of money can replace the love of a mother and father,” the organiser wrote.
