Now, first and foremost, I’m not telling you not to drink coca-cola, ever.

Because hey, then I’ll be a hypocrite. Who can resist a cold can of coca-cola after a few hours under the sun?

No one, I’ll tell ya, no one.

But this video might make you change your mind. Check out what happens when someone decides to boil out the coke to see what else is left.

YouTuber CrazyRussianHacker Boiled Coke To ‘Reveal Sugar Content’

A popular YouTuber who does crazy “experiments” on his channel, CrazyRussianHacker decided to boil out a bottle of coca-cola in one of his videos.

He acknowledged that the drink is delicious, but he is immensely curious about the sugar content in a 500ml bottle of coke.

The coca-cola company states that the amount of sugar in the drink is 55ml, but that’s just numbers to him.

How much is it? Is it a lot, or a bit?

He decided to boil out the coke, to get rid of the liquid and see what’s left.

And this is what he got.

*Cue horrified screams*

What you get at the end is thick, black sludge that looks more like what you get after refining fuel than a drink. #GodsHonestTruth

Now to add fuel (pun intended) to this, here’s what he got after boiling 1 litre of coca-cola.

I’d admit that the sugar wasn’t even a factor after I saw this.

If you have friends who love drinking coke, show them this and tell them what they’re exactly drinking!

Of course, do note that the drink has been around for 128 years, according to their website and it’s still around. #CokeLoversUnite

So drink in moderation, guys. Or go for Coke Zero, which has no sugar, just artificial sweeteners #worseornot
