If you have a partner living in a different house, the coronavirus can either tear you apart or bring you closer.
Love in the time of corona is not exactly easy, but thanks to advancements in technology, we can still see our significant other every day during lockdowns through a glass screen.
If you’re extra sweet, you could also brighten their dull circuit-breaker day by sending them a surprise gift or meal.

Anyone would like that, right?
Right?

An Ungrateful Partner
Instead of a simple thank you and maybe a heart emoji, a girl scolded her boyfriend for sending her desserts despite knowing she was on a no-sugar diet.
The ungrateful girlfriend posted screenshots of their conversation on Instagram Stories, probably thinking that her actions were perfectly justifiable.
Unsatisfied with her gift, the girl asked her boyfriend to send her some cash instead.

She captioned the screenshot with “Maybe I’m unappreciative”, so at least she knows she’s being an ingrate.
The girl also tore into her boyfriend for buying “overpriced cake and yoghurt” and complained about the lack of cutlery provided because she’d have to wash the utensils herself.
Being the positive person she is, the girlfriend took this opportunity to express her disapproval of food delivery services, saying it makes people “lazy and poorer”.

This is pretty ironic, coming from someone who’s asking her boyfriend to send her some money.
The girl then posted an inexplicable rant about how food deliveries aren’t the best idea for a gift because you may not know what the receiver truly wants.
What this girl is forgetting is that there are people out there who actually have hearts and not cold black stones in their chests.
Boyfriend Apologised, Girl Kept Scolding Him
Her boyfriend apologised and said he just wanted her to have a nice tea break, but the girl was still upset.
She replied saying she had told him “a million times” that she takes her yoghurt without sugar, and asked him “What’s your problem?”.

Wanting to rub salt into his already wounded heart, the girl said she sees the delivery as more of an “insult” than a “sweet gesture”.
Do people like this really exist?
She then posted a screenshot of a notification from her bank saying she had received $50. It’s unclear if it was from her boyfriend, but even if it was, she didn’t seem satisfied.
A Troll?
It’s hard to tell if these messages are real or not, considering how despicable the girl’s actions are.
Maybe she’s just a troll wanting to provide some melodrama for bored Singaporeans at home?

If this really happened, however, then her poor boyfriend should really rethink this relationship.
Try Being Nice
Covid-19 has made many of us stressed and frustrated, but we shouldn’t take it out on other people, especially our loved ones.
Arguing only amplifies the negative effects of confinement, anyway, so try being nice for a change.
And if you’re that girl’s boyfriend and you still want to be with her, please do not send her any desserts.
I have a feeling she doesn’t like them.
