6 MRT Lines & 40 Bus Services to Extend Operating Services on Good Friday Eve

To the corporate slaves among us, rejoice! It’s Good Friday next Friday, meaning that you can treat yourself to a night out with your friends on the eve of Good Friday — 28 March (Thursday).

The best thing is this: you might be out late on the eve of Good Friday, but you’ll probably still be able to catch the last train or last bus home — 6 MRT lines and 40 bus services are extending their operating services on the eve of Good Friday.

Here’s everything you need to know about it.

6 MRT Lines to Extend Operating Services on the Eve of Good Friday

Regardless of whether you’re a Circle Line enthusiast or a North-South Line apologist, there’s good news for all — six MRT lines will be extending operating services on the eve of Good Friday.

For the North-South Line, the last trains towards Jurong East and Marina South Pier will depart from City Hall MRT station at 12:30 am.

For the East-West Line, the last trains towards Pasir Ris and Tuas Link will depart from City Hall MRT station at 12:30 am as well.

For the Circle Line, the last train timing will be later than usual, but earlier than the North-South and East-West Lines. The last train from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station towards Harbourfront will depart at 11:43 pm. The last train in the opposite direction will depart at 11:27 pm.

Those privileged enough to enjoy the new Thomson-East Coast Line will also enjoy an extension in operating services on the eve of Good Friday. The last train towards Gardens by the Bay will depart from Woodlands North MRT station at 12:02 am. The last train in the opposite direction will depart at 12:25 am.

For the North East Line, the last train towards Punggol will depart from Harbourfront MRT station at 12:30 am. The last train in the opposite direction will depart at 12:02 am.

And good news for those whose homes are along the Sengkang-Punggol LRT stations — the Sengkang-Punggol LRT service will also be extended until after the last North East Line trains arrive at their respective town centre stations.

Why pay for a $50 Grab when you can simply take public transport?

For those staying along the Downtown Line, there’s good news for you too — the last train towards Expo will depart from Bukit Panjang MRT station at 12:03 am instead of the usual 11:35 pm. The last train in the opposite direction will depart at 12:04 am.

Unfortunately, those staying along the Bukit Panjang LRT stations do not enjoy the same operation timing extensions as those staying along the Sengkang-Punggol LRT stations. There will be no extension for the Bukit Panjang LRT service on the eve of Good Friday.

West side really ah… buey tahan.

There is also no extension for the Changi Airport service.

Next, departing from Bishan Interchange, only service 410W will extend its operation timings to depart at 1:05 am.

Finally, the extended last bus timings for our fellow Singaporeans staying along the causeway — the Woodlands and Yishun residents.
