Good News: 3 New Features Coming Soon to Pokémon GO That’ll Put a Smile to All Players

In just a few days, almost all Singaporeans now about Pokémon GO and are going crazy over the virtual monsters kept in their smartphones. If you think the monotonous gameplay of catching Pokémons, battling in gyms and walking aimlessly just to hatch your eggs are getting boring, this piece of news is going to revive your Pokémon craze.

Last month (and lest you’ve forgotten, the game is less than five weeks old, and less than two weeks old in Singapore), the Pokémon GO developer has confirmed some new features that they are working on, although the exact time of release is still unclear.

Here’re the top three new features that’ll make all Pokémon GO players get a little more obsessed.

Trading Pokémon

Trading Pokémon has been one of the key features in the 1990s when the first Pokémon game was released. Players were left a tad disappointed that this feature wasn’t in Pokémon GO despite how connected we are now.

In the past, Pokémon players would have to buy a link cable and connect two Game Boys to trade their Pokémon. It was necessary to trade to get all the 150 Pokémons then.

When asked when the trading feature will be available, this is what the CEO of Niantic, John Hanke, has to say: “I’m sorry, I don’t have a date for you…We’re working really hard to keep the servers up and running. We’re working on it, but its gonna take a little longer.”

Well, now that the server is stable, is trading coming soon?

Exact Location of Pokémon in Nearby Sightings

The tracker bar on the right corner currently only shows us what Pokémons are nearby without giving the exact location.

The new feature, slowly rolling out to some users, has the ability to see where the Pokémons are if they’re near a Pokestop. Now, we no longer have to guess where the heck those rare Pokémons are!

According to some reports, the new feature will also alert you if the Pokémon in the area has fled. Now, is that neat or what?

If you still do not have the new feature, just wait a while: according to the update on 8 August 2016, the developer is “currently testing a variation of the “Nearby Pokémon” feature with a subset of users. During this period you may see some variation in the nearby Pokémon UI.”

Battling with your friends (not confirmed)

Battling in the gym is cool, but how much cooler would it be if you can just battle your friends instead?

One of the features, other than trading, that many players want is to have battles with their friends. While the developer has yet to confirm anything about this feature, players all over the world are crossing their finger for this, with some media speculating that this could be included in the list of new features.
