Gudetama, also known as the iconic apathetic and lazy egg character, is set to open a cafe here in end November. The news was announced just yesterday (16th October), with a new Instagram account for the cafe and it has already garnered more than 1000 followers.

The Sanrio character has been a culinary hit in Hong Kong and has been featured in dim sum and Japanese curry dishes and even in a McDonald’s meal set. For those who haven’t heard the news yet, here’s what you need to know.
1. It will be located at a prime location
The latest cafe will be open at the ground level of Suntec City, #01-361 which will replace The House of Robert Timms.
2. It’s coming to us really soon
Its estimated date of opening will be around end-November.
3. The presentation of the food will be flawless
Because it will be co-created with local food blogger and stylist, Little Miss Bento who is famed for her insanely adorable bento creations on her Instagram account. You should totally follow her here
4. There will be a huge variety of grub available
This includes egg toast, waffle with soft serve ice cream, pizza, and coffee!
