The Latest Pokemon Update Is Out & It’s Pretty Disappointing

Pokemon GO currently rolled out their latest update to the popular augmented reality game in version 1.5.0 for iOS and 0.35.0 for Android and players have been pretty excited about the getting new updates.

Their newest update includes Pokemon Appraisal which allows players to seek help from their chosen gym leaders, Candela, Blanche and Spark with Team Valor, Mystic and Instinct respectively.

Pointers given by team leaders would guide players providing information about the abilities of attack and defence of each individual Pokemon. This is useful as players would be able to select their strongest Pokemon before battles.

They will then present you with the result and a short phrase depending on how strong your Pokemon is. For example, they said ‘Your [pokemon] is a wonder! What a breathtaking Pokmon!’ when it has 90-100% overall statistics.

These were mentioned by Team Valor and Team Mystic and it seems like the new update has been working out for them so far.

Team Instinct, on the other hand, are not quite impressed with the latest update as their Team Leader did not give any input after looking at your Pokemon. Instead, asked the players if they would like to eat glue.

What is going on, Pokemon Go app developers?

Though they are known to be a tight knitted and fiercely devoted team, we bet some of the members in Team Instinct are beating themselves up and saying FML for picking this team right now.

Though this update seems pretty useful, some players were quite annoyed as they were looking forward to other big update features including the trading of Pokemon, knowing the exact location of Pokemon in nearby sightings and being able to battle with your friends.

Seeing how connected the world is and how far development has come so far, everyone was hoping for the long-awaited (since the 1990s Game Boys era) feature to trade Pokemon and ultimately own all of them.

Unfortunately, the latest update did not include owning every single Pokemon through trades.

Another potential feature that was circulating around but disappointed us when it was not included in the feature led us to continue battling in gyms rather than with our friends.

After all the built-up hype, we were expecting more, Niantic.
