If you’ve been following the news about the Holland Village robbery last week, and wondering why the robber hasn’t been caught after so many days, here’s one good news: he has been allegedly arrested in Bangkok.
According to Shin Min Daily News (新明日报), the Chinese newspaper that has exclusive information about this robbery since day one, the robber has been arrested last night (10 July 2016) in Bangkok.
According to the paper, the robber has passed a note to the bank employee with these sentences: “This is a robbery. I have a weapon. Give me money. Don’t call police.”
Since then, he is alleged to have hidden in Thailand, although the location then was unclear.
Now that there’s a closure, I’m sure we’ll finally have more answers about this robbery case that has taken Singapore by storm.
Kudos to our efficient police for nabbing the suspect!
*Update on 5:30 p.m.: The Singapore Police Force has confirmed the arrest.
