If you’ve been staying home and know that it’s been hot AF for the last two weeks, then here’s the bad news: it’s going to be hot as well for the next two weeks. Buy more fans, please. You can even get fans from 7-Eleven nowadays.

If you didn’t feel the heat, then there’s a bad news for you, too: be prepared to drop your jaw when you see your electricity bill for this month.

Hot Weather of Up to 35 °C Will Continue in 2nd Part of May 2020

The weatherman has spoken, and you’re not going to like what he said.

There would be some rain in the second half of May between the late morning and afternoon, with it extending to the evening on some days.

On 2 or 3 days, you can expect thundery showers before the sun rises.

But other than that, Singapore will melt.

The current warm and humid weather is forecast to continue into the second fortnight of May 2020. Near the end of May, whereby we might have started to celebrate the end of Circuit Breaker, it would be rather warm at night, too, at about 28°C.

If you feel hot in the last few nights, it’s probably because in the last two weeks, there were a few nights whereby 28°C was registered as well, especially in the south and east of Singapore.

In the next two weeks, on most days, temperatures would be between 26°C and 34°C, but on a few days, the maximum temperature could go up to 35°C.

Flooding in the Next Two Weeks?

Despite the warmer days ahead, rainfall for the entire month of May is forecast to be above average for most parts of Singapore.

Whether there would be any “ponding” is up to everyone’s guess, but since we’re all stuck at home, I believe no one cares.

But just for your info, in the first half of May, two areas experienced higher-than-average rainfall: Admiralty and Changi.
