Huge Fight Broke Out At Adidas Launch At Pacific Plaza Because Someone Cut Queue

On my list of types of people with a special place reserved in hell for them, idiots and inconsiderate people rank pretty high on the list.

However, there’s still one more type of people who perhaps rank higher than these people—and yes, it’s related to the title of this article.

I’m talking about them queue-cutting imbeciles.

Idiots who don’t know how to queue properly and have to resort to sneaky manoeuvres in an attempt to get to the front of a queue.

I imagine their special place in hell to be that of a never-ending queue, and they will be forced to queue forever.

And today, we’ll be talking about such a case.

On 23 Feb, a fight broke out at Pacific Plaza during the launch of a new Adidas and footwear collection made in collaboration with Pharrell Williams.

Well, I have no idea who Pharrell Williams is, but he must be pretty influential to be able to gather such a crowd! Here’s how he looks like, for those of you who are interested.

…Well, I think you guys would most likely be more interested in the fight. Here’s the video in question:

Fight at adidas Singapore – Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu "Blank Canvas"

So, it’s just a short clip of people pushing and shouting at each other.

According to Straits Times, the fight occurred at around 8.20 am when someone attempted to cut the queue. Thank goodness security officers at the mall managed to contain the situation.

Since the sale of the apparel and shoes was limited to one piece and one pair per person, I suppose I could understand why some people are angry at queue cutters.

The price of the products ranged from $230 to $380.

Whew, I wouldn’t even spend $50 on a pair of shoes. I guess I can never really understand why people go for branded goods.

Anyway, this wasn’t the first time people expressed their unhappiness during an Adidas event.

in 2016, angry customers complained about the chaotic crowd at Pacific Plaza for a limited edition collection of Adidas shoes.

…Feels to me like events like this will always result in conflicts one way or another.

Well, please behave in a civilised manner when you’re in public! Doesn’t matter if the other person cuts your queue or not, I don’t think there’s a need for fighting, right?
