But this one man saw it as an opportunity to get away from his wife.
Daring Husband Uses Covid-19 As Excuse To Disappear
According to NDTV, a man in India made a dramatic call to his wife on 24 July 2020.
He said that his Covid-19 report came back positive and that he “can’t live anymore”.
Then, before his confused wife could respond or find out more, he hung up and disappear.

What do you think will happen if a husband suddenly called up his wife and say he’s going to die?
Give up on him and move on with life? Maybe. But that’s not what this lovely woman did.
She quickly called up his brother for help, who went to the police and lodge a missing person’s report.

The Indian police were only able to find the man’s bike, helmet, bag and keys.

As for his whereabouts, they had no clue.
After knowing that he had dialled 100 (the Indian Police hotline) twice on the same night he had gone missing, they included the possibility of a grudge crime or a robbery.
Found Alive With His Girlfriend
The police checked through camera footage from nearby areas and attempted to track his mobile location.
After an entire month of intense investigation, they came to know about his ex-marital affair and found out where he has gone.
A team was dispatched to Indore, a city over 500km away, where they found him with his girlfriend.

It’s not known what the wife will do to him, or whether the Indian Police will take any actions against him for causing so much wastage of resources.
But one thing for sure, though, is Covid-19 is no joking matter.
If you want a divorce, maybe a better way would be to sit down with your partner and talk to them.
