Husband Installed Tinder & Saw His Wife There; Both Swiped Right on Each Other

The older generation might baulk at Tinder, thinking that it’s place to look for friends with benefits in the cyberworld, but to the younger generation, it’s a real lifesaver for those whose social circle only comprise people of the same gender.

You’d have friends who swiped right to a girl and eventually married her after a while. Even celebrities like Jamie Yeo and Sheila Sim found their lifelong partner in Tinder. It’s not just an app: it’s another way to spice up a single’s dating life.

But what if a married guy decided to use the app?

Well, this might happen.

Guy Met Wife in Tinder

In a reddit post in the subreddit r/relationship_advice, a 32-year-old man, whom we should call Minder, met his current wife in Tinder three years ago. They fell in love “fast”, moved in together and eventually got married fourteen months ago.

And he’s happy with his married life.

So far, so good: a love story to tell the older generation that Tinder works.

But that soon changed.

Guy Got Lonely and Downloaded Tinder Again

A month ago, his wife went for a business trip and when Minder was lonely one night, he decided not to watch another episode of Another Life in Netflix; instead, he downloaded Tinder.

Is Another Life that boring? If so, he should have just subscribed to our YouTube channel. Maybe that would have prevented this disaster from happening.

But anyways.

He swiped here and there, reminiscing on the days when he used to be active on the app. But he soon deleted it and moved on.

That didn’t end. Soon after, his wife went for another business trip and he has yet to subscribe to our YouTube channel, so he downloaded Tinder again.

And it was funny until he saw his wife’s image.

Wife’s Image Had His Image Cut Off

Needless to say, Minder was shocked.

Initially, he thought that it was a mistake—someone could have stolen her image, or it could be a bot that has used her image. However, her profile was updated and correct: it shows where she lived, and most importantly, there was an image of her…with Minder being cut out.

For some reason, Minder did the unthinkable…and swiped right.

Then shit hit the fan.

It’s a match.

This means that prior to Minder seeing this, his wife had seen his profile and swiped right before.

That’s when everything seems fishy: didn’t Minder just re-downloaded Tinder? How could she have found his profile in such a short timeframe?

Is this a CSB (cool story, bro)?

Minder then ended his post with this:

Now I have to explain why I was on Tinder. This is just a huge can of worms that got opened.

What the hell do I do?

Well, Minder, here’s something you might have forgotten: your wife might be thinking the exact same thing.

And to all married couple who found their soulmate in Tinder: don’t download the app again. That’s for singles.
