Has anyone every grabbed your hair before? In my own experience, that person has actually ripped out a chunk of my hair in the process. Ouch. #RIP
However, in this news, you’ll find that we’re all actually glad that this husband grabbed his wife’s ponytail. Reason? To save her life.Â
How to Save a Life

According to The Shanghaiist, a Shaanxi man was able to save his suicidal wife from jumping off a building just in the nick of time. Surprisingly, by grabbing onto her ponytail and holding on tight. For a few minutes.Â

Video of the dramatic incident began circulating on Chinese social media yesterday showing the woman dangling precariously from the roof of the building, before being rescued by police.
According to local news reports, the husband had been clutching onto his wife’s hair for a few minutes. However, he would have lost his grip soon if police had not arrived to help out. In the video, officers can be seen pulling on the woman’s clothes, helping to bring her up to safety, despite her protests to “let me go.”Â
It turns out, that the woman wasn’t only saved by her ponytail, but also by a pipe that helped to support her weight while her husband kept hold of her hair. Oh, so not that bad after all.
Now, this is really an inventive method on how to save a life. We’re just glad that they’ve managed to successfully pull it off.Â
