If you love Hello Kitty and haven’t had the chance to visit the Hello Kitty Cafe in Singapore yet, these three plus months will probably be your last chance to do so.
Because the iconic Hello Kitty cafe at Changi Airport T3 will disappear from the shores of Singapore soon.

It’s The End Of Licensing & Partnership With Sanrio Co., Ltd
As for why the Hello Kitty cafe is closing down permanently, it’s not because the rental is getting too high to swallow, or that there’s no business.
It’s because the licensing and partnership between Sanrio Co., Ltd (that owns Hello Kitty) and Europa Specialty Restaurants (S) Pte Ltd (which operate the Hello Kitty Cafe) is ending.
“We would like to express gratitude and appreciation to all the fans and supporters of the café.”
“We are humbled by the support and look forward to bringing our customers more exciting F&B themes and concepts!”
The last day of operation for the Hello Kitty Cafe will be on 8 Feb 2019.
Going Out With A Bang
And for the true-blue, diehard Hello Kitty fans in Singapore, the Hello Kitty cafe wants to go out with a big bang.
They will be throwing farewell tea parties over two weekends in Dec 2018 to bid farewell to the cat without a mouth.
There will be lucky draws, quizzes and games to liven up the party as well. Take part and you might just win exclusive Hello Kitty dining table sets, serving ware and merchandise.
Kind of ironic, considering a cat with no mouth opens a food cafe. #JustSaying #SorryCouldntResist
