If you’re a fan of light displays like Christmas Wonderland, mark your calendars for an upcoming event in Singapore.
The world’s largest light, sound and multimedia event, “Illumi”, is set to open in Singapore from 13 September to 8 December 2024.
The immersive night experience will be set up at Bayfront Event Space next to Marina Bay Sands.

World’s Largest Light, Sound & Multimedia Show
The event was first launched in Montreal, Canada in 2019. It featured light installations that transformed normal spaces into a magical universe.
Whether you’re a fan of tunnels, trees, dinosaurs or penguins, rest assured that there is a light installation for everyone.
A “magical and extraordinary nocturnal outdoor journey under the stars” awaits you.
Here are some illustrations of what you can expect this September:
20 Million LED Lights
This rendition will feature 20 million LED lights, including larger-than-life structures and light installations across nine themed zones.
The Infinite Poles
This zone features penguins and igloos in an endless forest of stalagmites.
The Enchanted Maples
Inspired by the traditions of Canada, red and orange maple leaves illuminate the sky. There will be chickens, a barn and farm animals as a nod to rural Canada.
Walls Of Lights
This zone features curtains of sparkling “snowflakes”, giant shimmering crystals and stalagmites that form a world of ice.

Puppies And Kitties
Puppies and Kitties features light installations of giant cats and dogs of different breeds.
The Tunnel Of Colours
Here, LEDs line every inch of a bright and colourful tunnel, perfect for snapping a photo.
Jurassic Kingdom
Visit a sanctuary for prehistoric creatures and meet a variety of dinosaurs at the Jurassic Kingdom.
The Magical Forest
The Magical Forest features hundreds of multi-coloured trees of multiple shapes and sizes. It is filled with colourful mushrooms, giant snails, flying squirrels, giraffes, elephants and more.
The Illumi Tree And Its Carousel
This zone will feature Illumi’s icon: a 47-metre tree of lights (described as the size of five Merlions stacked together) and a carousel ride.

Other zones include Dune Palace which comes straight out of the Sahara Desert and is inspired by genies, camels and flying magic carpets.
Tickets
Tickets are priced from S$15 for children aged two to 12 years old and s$25 for adults. This does not include booking fees.
There is an ongoing early-bird discount of 20% for DBS/POSB credit and debit cardholders from now till 31 August.
