Rush to Hospital Reveals Life-Threatening Condition
The influencer eventually suffered intense abdominal cramps and was rushed to Xi’an People’s Hospital recently.
Doctors diagnosed her with acute severe pancreatitis, a condition where enzyme secretions build up in the pancreas and begin to digest the organ itself.
Medical tests revealed her serum amylase level was 10 times higher than normal, which doctors described as life-threatening.
Amylase is an enzyme produced by the pancreas and salivary glands that helps break down carbohydrates.
Much of her pancreas had necrotised due to the severe inflammation.
According to her doctor, the symptoms were likely caused by her extremely low-fat diet maintained over a prolonged period.
