Here are some of the interesting features of the new iOS 16 that is now out.
Keyboard
Apart from new languages for emoji search and new languages for autocorrect, there is now keyboard haptics.
It is responsive feedback from your phone whenever you press a key, in case you need to feel confirmation when you type. If you’ve not tried this before, you should really give it a go: it’ll make it feel like you’re pressing a physical button when there isn’t any.
Before that, you’d have to download a third-party app to use this function.
CarPlay
The next generation of CarPlay covers all of a driver’s screens for a cohesive experience. It is specific to each vehicle, accommodating unique screen shapes and layouts. Drivers can choose their gauge cluster design.
Fuelling and driving task apps are also available in CarPlay to help you with road information, toll support, and towing help.

Apple will also be announcing more on their vehicle in late 2023.
Freeform
Freeform now comes with flexible canvas that is perfect for diagramming new projects or simply cracking your brains to think of a new idea.
You can also view others’ contributions and make edits. If you are a student doing group projects, you will know who are the slackers to mark down for peer evaluation.
Memoji
The Memoji is a cute avatar that you can customise to look like yourself.
In the new update, you will get more expressive poses if you want to be less boring on text to the new guy you met on Tinder.
There are also more hairstyles, headwear and lip colour which you can customise.
Apple has an all-new Home app that helps you to navigate, organise, view, and control your accessories. You can improve the architecture to enhance your smart home’s performance.
Multiple devices can be used as well.
Here’s the chance to teach your grandparents the power of smart living.
iCloud Shared Photo Library
Now, you can share your photo library using the iCloud Shared library system. An album can be shared with up to five people.
You can select past photos or choose specific photos based on the dates or the people.
There’s no need to squabble over low-quality images sent through WhatsApp or Telegram as these photos are original quality from your iPhones.
Which, of course, means it’ll take more data.
Siri
Siri is our all-time best friend and lifesaver.
Now, you can insert emojis when sending messages with Siri. Siri also works offline and you can even ask Siri questions like “Hey Siri, what can I do here?”
