A 4 January post on Chinese social media Weibo that was seemingly made by Chou’s wife, Hannah Quinlivan, went viral for the allegations it made about his lack of loyalty.

The post said, “Mr Chou, tear down that fake mask of yours. Your perfect image can’t hide your true self for long… I don’t want to live a day like this anymore, Mr Chou! Those disgusting activities that you and your friends did, do you really think the truth won’t come out someday?”
The post alleged that the 44-year-old Mandopop singer had engaged in orgies.
There were rumours that Quinlivan had deleted the post as it was unavailable on her Weibo profile.
Of course, the post caused an uproar.
However, fans of Quinlivan noted that she had not been on Weibo since 30 December 2023.
