Covid-19 has brought out the worst in some people.
But at the same time, they’ve also brought out the best in others.
Company Offers Yacht in JB to Sail Close to S’pore for Family Members Between SG & JB to Wave at Each Other
Previously, we wrote about how Malaysians, stranded in Singapore away from family and loved ones, are making their way to Woodlands Waterfront Park to see them from a distance.
Well, a company in JB is now offering their yacht out to “a lucky Malaysian” who have loved ones working in Singapore.
Titled “We Hear You”, the company says they’ll be bringing out the yacht to the straits and will sail to a spot that’s “nearer” to Singapore.
The trip will happen on Saturday, 24 Oct 2020, and they’re inviting Malaysians to express their feelings in the Facebook post’s comment section.
Lucky ones, the company said, will be able to board the yacht and wave to their loved ones from a nearer distance.

R&F Princess Cove
According to their Facebook page, R&F Princess Cove is a real estate title and development company.
Most of us who’ve travelled to Johor Bahru via the Woodlands checkpoint would’ve seen the property as we pass by the causeway.
Located in the southern part of Johor, the 5-star property has a marina view directly facing Singapore and has dining, shopping, residential and recreation facilities all within 116 acres.
Woodlands Waterfront Park
It has been around seven months since the Malaysia and Singapore borders closed.
While it has opened partially recently for specific travel arrangements, not everyone can afford to make the trip across to meet with their loved ones.
For some who have been separated from their families for more than half a year, their only way of partially alleviating their loneliness, short of giving everything up and going home, is to make their way to Woodlands Waterfront Park.
At the jetty of the park, they are separated by 300 to 400 metres of water from the shores of Johor Bahru.
On both sides of the shore, people would video call their loved ones while waving frantically to the other side of the straits.

According to Zaobao, this man isn’t the only one going to Woodlands Waterfront Park to look at their loved ones from afar and when their journalist was there, at least four other couples were at the park for the same reason.
You can read more about the occurrences here.
Hopefully, the Johor government is able to smoothly proceed with their special plan to reopen borders so that at least, stranded Malaysians can gain some much-needed reprieve and reunite with their loved ones again.
