Yup, it really didn’t explode. For real.
So, recently, Jianhao Tan did a video on his YouTube Gaming channel ‘NOTGOODGAMERS’ where he tried to experiment with the Samsung Galaxy 8 by testing its durability.
In the video, he did quite a number of experiments on the phone and surprisingly, the phone still did not break or crack – until he activated his car to run over it and the screen cracked.

Oh and by the way, even after he ran the phone over with his car and the screen cracked, the phone could still work.
Here are some of the things that he did to the Samsung Galaxy 8.
1. Use it as a chopping board for red chilli
Jianhao started the video by using the Samsung Galaxy 8 as a chopping board. He placed a red chilli on top of the phone and started slicing it as though he was on a real chopping surface.
Nope, the phone didn’t bulge.
2. Soaked it in water for 12 seconds, and more
Upon seeing that the phone didn’t bulge under the pressure of the knife, they went ahead to soak the phone in water.
And well, obviously that didn’t destroy the phone too since the S8 is water resistant.
3. Dropped a screwdriver on it
And not even a scratch. Phone was still working perfectly well – or at least that what’s was shown in the video.
4. Threw it across the room… MANY TIMES
Not only did they throw it across the room, they also threw it back on the table.

And after being thrown around like a rag doll a couple of times, there were still no scratches or cracks on the phone.
Like NOTHING AT ALL.
Seriously, what is this phone made of?
5. Fire test
Yup, this was when shit got real. I mean, I’m very sure that by now, their iPhone would have cracked and shattered into a million pieces beyond repair – and yes, I’m an iPhone user so I’m not biased towards Samsung or anything.
And so, Jianhao decided to test the limits of the Samsung Galaxy 8 by introducing a fire test to it.

The results?
Burnt, but still able to use!
6. Ran a car over it
Lastly, the team ran it over a car. And the results?
It finally bulged! The team then went on to test the software and surprisingly, the phone was still able to work.

While the phone’s software might seem fine in the video, I’m quite sure that it must have received some internal damages that can’t be seen by the naked eye. But still, a thumbs up for it being to withstand so much pressure! And… for not exploding, I guess?
