It’s time for more joy in your mouth.

There are many kinds of chicken joy, but we all know which is the best kind.

Nonono, not chicken having joy. But Chicken Joy:

Ooh yeah, and a new outlet for the beloved Jollibee is opening right in Suntec.

To be opened at Suntec West Wing, #B1-123

We all knew this was happening, sooner or later. After all, just look at the queue we had for the chain in Waterway Point.

And now, we can probably expect the same thing to happen at Suntec.

We don’t have any further information on when this will actually open yet.

So as of now, this is all just a teaser 😉

So… world domination plan continues?

But, since this is on topic, I might as well talk about the world domination plans of Tony Tan.

No, not our 7th President Tony Tan, but Tony Tan who is Jollibee’s founder.

We already talked about it briefly before, but that picture is taken when he is 63 years old despite looking like 40+. So despite looking like a never-ageing vampire, he also wants Jollibee to become the next KFC.

(Mostly joking here guys, but let me roll with this)

My colleague has also written a compelling report that the Jollibee mascot is actually an influencer, like those you see of YouTube stars and Instagrammers.

What does this all mean? In the age of information, information and the ability to influence other people is power.

That’s right. It may look like a harmful act of selling good ol’ fried chicken, but this is the face behind the bee slowly gaining power, getting our affection and garnering support through our stomachs.

After reading this, you’re probably wondering: if Jollibee is dominating, then what is sacrificed in the process?

#B1-123 used to be Tony Roma’s

Yeah. It’s that place where you used to go to for baby back ribs. Some of you have this place on your nostalgia trial.

But it’s now gone from the Suntec City.

And did you also not notice that Tony Roma’s is now replaced by Tony Tan’s Jollibee?

Do you see what is going on here?

From Tony Tan to Tony Tan… Tony Roma’s to Tony Tan…

Next thing we know, Jollibean will be Jollibee, Jalan Jalan become Jolli Jolli, Chicken Chop becomes Chicken Joy…

(Given a choice, I’d probably take Chicken Joy over Tony Roma’s baby back ribs. I’m just joking people… Or am I?!)
