According to the post, the motorcycle had collided with a van. The van cannot be seen in the video.

Two ambulances were on site.

The SCDF told Goody Feed that they were alerted to a traffic accident at the junction of Jalan Tukang and Quality Road.

When the SCDF arrived, they found the van driver trapped in the driver’s seat. They rescued him with hydraulic equipment and sent him to the hospital.

Another person was assessed for minor injuries at the scene but declined to be sent to the hospital.

An SCDF paramedic pronounced one person dead at the scene. Shin Min Daily News confirmed the deceased in the Jurong accident as a 33-year-old female motorcyclist.

The deceased was reportedly from the Pontian District in Malaysia. Her body was sent back to her home country on 21 July.

Shin Min further reported this crash as one of three fatal accidents that occurred on Singapore’s western side on 20 July.

Other than this, there was a van driver who died after crashing into the rear of an SMRT bus in Choa Chu Kang.

In Bukit Batok West, a 76-year-old pedestrian also died from a car crash.

According to the police’s Annual Road Traffic Situation 2023, there were 136 fatalities in 131 fatal accidents that year.

Half of those fatalities were motorcyclists and pillion riders at 68 deaths, despite motorcycles making up just 14.4% of Singapore’s vehicles.

Last year, a motorcyclist died in an accident in Jurong East two months before her planned engagement.
