Folks who stay in the far western region of Singapore, time to have some fun as Timezone at Jurong Point is set open on 2 September 2022.
Families usually visit Jurong Point for its unaccountable food choices or to catch a movie. With the addition of a Timezone, families can expect to spend even more time at the iconic shopping mall.
Without masks.
A Wide Variety of Games Expected
The 17,000 sqft entertainment centre will carry 160 different games, which are spread across four zones.
The four zones are:
- Driving zone
- Music zone
- VR zone
- Competitive/ Sports
The main highlight of the driving zone is the 10 Maxi Drift Bumper Cars. Whether you are bringing your kid to the arcade or just want to reminisce about the old times, this is definitely one game not to miss.
The attraction will be able to accommodate up to 10 cars, which have a steel base and safety belts. Each car can fit two people, perfect for those with kids that are too afraid to play the game alone.
However, do note that this attraction will only be available in the third quarter of 2023. So, while waiting for that to be complete, you can jump over to the VR zone to kill your thirst for fun.
In the VR zone, visitors can visit the Arkadia VR Arena. Virtual simulations of sci-fi worlds and warzones can be selected depending on the individual’s preference.
The arena can fit up to five people for an exciting multiplayer combat game. People can choose to either work as a group or face off against one another in games such as laser tag and more.
Some other games people can look forward to include 8-seater Maximum Tune, Motion Car Asphalt, Pump It Up, Taiko, VAR Box Shooting Games, Ultra Motor VR, Connect 4 Hoops, Punching and Kicking Boxer Combo and more.
Bowling Alley Inside Timezone
If arcade games aren’t really your type of entertainment, fret not; there is also a bowling alley inside the huge entertainment centre.
This is a perfect opportunity for even more family bonding time, or it can even be a chance for people to pick up a new sport.
However, do be informed that the arcade only has four lanes, and each lane is shorter than a typical one you would find at a normal bowling alley.
