Sale.
Just the word is enough to make our heart pump a little faster and widen the corners of our mouths.
Lodged deep in the Singaporean mind is a profound hunger for deals, promotions, and cheap things, even if we don’t really need them.
It’s why we’re biologically obliged to join a queue even when we don’t know what it’s for, and why we sob uncontrollably whenever our favourite retail stores close down.
Well, if you’re here for a sale, you’ve come to the right place, as a famous Italian sports brand is having a warehouse sale with prices you’d normally see at a hawker centre.
There’s a Hidden Kappa Warehouse Sale With Items from $5
Water your plants, draw the curtains, and give your pet a cuddle because Kappa is having a warehouse sale with items priced from just $5.
Kappa Singapore announced the sale on its official Facebook page in a post on 30 Dec.
The sale started on New Year’s Eve and will run until 9 Jan.
Reader: Wait, that means I have only six days to go! I should stop playing Minecraft and head to the shop soon!
Woah there, before you head out, let’s go through some of the items you might find at the store.
One thing you’ll see upon entering the store is an entire treasure trove of apparel that cost $5 each, such as shorts and T-shirts with that fresh-looking jersey fabric, as shown by Facebook Page Singapore Atrium Sale.
You can also get t-shirts with various designs for just $10, some of which have that famous Kappa logo on their sides.
There are also Kappa bags on sale for just $10, and slippers selling for $20 a pair.
But perhaps the best deal at this warehouse sale is at the footwear section, where you can get a new pair of Kappa kicks for just $20.
Now that’s a pretty good deal.
Reader: Okay, I have all the information I need, can I go now?
Do you know where it is?
Reader: Well, no.

Those who missed Kappa’s announcement may not have ever come across the store, as it’s hidden away in Tagore Industrial Avenue, which is somewhere between Ang Mo Kio and Sembawang.
It will be open to the public every day from 10am to 7pm until 9 Jan, so you can even head there after work if you’re busy during the day.
As always, remember to mask up and keep a safe distance from others when shopping.
