Though hey: have you ever, out of sheer curiosity, wondered about an alternate reality in which KFC stands not for Kentucky Fat C*** Fried Chicken…

But Kentucky Fashion Chicken?

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I’m talking about a reality in which staff employees of the fast food chain don’t just cook chicken.

They cook chicken in chic uniforms, and with style.

KFC S’pore Got Fashion Designer To Redesign Their Uniforms For Staff

If you’ve ever fantasised of such chic realities, well congrats;

It seems that the world you envisioned has just merged with the current one we live on, Earth-616.

According to a press release by KFC, a new line of uniforms has just been introduced for the staff here in Singapore, and they’re designed with every member of the KFC family in mind.

So as you’ll probably remember, KFC crew members previously shared a standardised uniform.

But with the new release in mind, there’ll no longer be one uniform to rule them all, but…

Four.

New concept

According to Lynette Lee, general manager of KFC Singapore, the uniform redesign serves to show the pride and appreciation the company has for the staff.

Designed and created by Thomas Wee, a veteran local fashion designer with over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry, the line was produced with peak comfort and functionality for the staff in mind. He also hopes that the new uniforms will increase the morale of the service team.

Well, if boosted morale means efficiency and a higher willingness to get everyone bigger chicken parts, I say heck yeah let’s wish for higher morale together!

When can we see these chic uniforms at work?

If you read this article with the intention of dropping by your nearest KFC outlet at noon, hoping to catch a glimpse of that elusive uniform, we regret to inform you that you’ll have to wait a little longer because the uniforms are actually expected to drop sometime around July.

But hey, they do say good things are worth waiting for. So really…

Here’s a toast to the release of the new uniforms, and we hope that the staff members are just as fascinated with the apparel as we all are. 🙂
