Sometimes, when a kid does something wrong, is it their fault or their parents’ fault? Well, many people have own take on this issue. Some day that it is the parents who should be educating the kids. On the other hand, there are also netizens who comment that it is the kids who should know better.
Kid dashing across the road
Just today, a clip was posted on the Facebook group Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road showing an incident of a kid dashing across a speed hump and the mom nonchalantly waving towards the vehicle signalling it to slow down. The driver is then forced to jam on the breaks.
You can watch the video below:
Even though the video was posted to simply remind people about the safety of crossing the roads, many netizens pointed out that adults should hold the responsibility of guiding their children and educating them on the potential road dangers.
Well, obviously in this scenario, rather than just waving to the driver to slow down, she should have taken the initiative to hold her child’s hand while crossing the road. Because who knows what would have happened if that wasn’t a speed hump but an actual main road instead?
What are your views on this? Do you think that their parents could have played a more important role regarding the child’s safety?
