If you like to watch home-cooking videos and daily vlogs on YouTube, you would be familiar with YouTube Kimono Mom, or Moe.
Her YouTube channel has since garnered 2.92 million subscribers and it’s hard not to binge-watch her content. She documents her life as a mother, the struggles of being a housewife and overall what it’s like to live in Japan.
Most notably, she shares recipes for many kinds of Japanese food that can be cooked at home.
Reader: I’m already her fan, tell me something I don’t know.
Great news – she’ll be coming to Singapore for a Meet-and-Greet this weekend, as part of a Farmer’s Market event. (I bet you didn’t know that.)

Farmer’s Market and Wellness Event: “Garden Vibes”
In a press release, it was announced that Singapore’s inaugural Farmer’s Market and Wellness Event, “Garden Vibes”, will be happening this weekend.
It is hosted by myVillage in collaboration with Little Farms.
What’s there? More than 20 farmers and food producers from everywhere will gather to sell fresh, organic and innovative stuff.
Save the date – Garden Vibes will be happening on:
- Date: 25 – 26 May 2024
- Time: 9am to 6pm
Kimono Mom – One of the Many Special Guests for Garden Vibes
The best part about the farmer’s market is meeting amazing farmers and creators where you can learn about what they do and what they’re selling.
This includes:
- Ben Bostock, co-founder of Bostock Organic Free Range Chicken in New Zealand and New Zealand’s only organic chicken producer
- Eva Pemper, founder of Eva Pemper Wines from New Zealand
- Georgina Terrana, founder of ROHO Ice Cream, a dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free and vegan ice cream company from Western Australia
… and many more.
Headlining the event is Kimono Mom who will be coming to Singapore for the first time promoting her famous vegan umami sauce.

You can attend her meet-and-greet on Saturday (25 May) from 10am to 1pm.
She’ll be selling her vegan and gluten-free Umami Sauce for the first time in Singapore, and it’s “perfect for elevating authentic home-cooked Japanese dishes”.
It’s the best time to stock up for just $34.98 per bottle.
Since it’s going to be sold out fast (her Instagram said it, it’s true), we suggest you pre-order the sauce on Eventbrite here.
You can then collect it from Kimono Mom herself at the event. Awesome.
Remember, there are only limited stocks available, so get your sticky hands on them before it’s too late.
Enjoy Wellness Activities
Apart from shopping and chatting with famous names at the event, they also have wellness activities that you can take part in.
Some of them include group yoga, circuit training and martial arts training.
If you don’t feel like sweating so much, you can enjoy performances by singer Nathan Hartono, and award-winning music artist and sound therapist Shervin Boloorian.
