Humans are supposedly the most rational and empathetic creatures.

In fact, the word “humane”, which means having compassion or benevolence, is an earlier form of the word human, suggesting that the two are synonymous.

But, as we both know, this is simply not true.

One could actually make the argument that humans are the most malicious and cruel animal, because we know exactly what we’re doing.

And this is particularly evident in the way we treat our pets.

Man Filmed Himself Locking a Kitten in The Freezer & Throwing it Into The Washing Machine

A man has sparked outrage online after he posted videos of himself placing a kitten in a freezer and washing machine.

The videos, which were originally shared on the man’s Instagram page, were reposted on Facebook by a viewer who was sickened by what she saw.

In one of the videos, the man can be heard calling the cat in a high-pitched, playful voice, before picking it up and placing it in the freezer.

At the end of the video, he closes the freezer door, leaving the poor kitten stuck inside.

In another video, the kitten is seen inside a washing machine with its door shut. It looks scared and confused as it tries to push its way out.

The man only opens the door at the end of the video, before letting out a maniacal laugh.

Oh, but it gets worse.

Some netizens noticed that the kitten appeared to have had some of its teeth pulled out and its whiskers cut.

For those who don’t know, a cat’s whiskers are an essential sensory mechanism. Cutting or damaging them will cause cats not only discomfort, but also make them confused and disorientated.

What kind of sick and twisted individual would do this?

The Facebook user said the man has since taken down the videos off his Instagram page.

SPCA’s Response

Speaking to Stompthe executive director of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Dr Jaipal Singh Gill, said it is investigating the case.

“We understand that a police report has been made as well.

“We thank the public for speaking up and for being the voice of the animals”, he said.

According to the SPCA, if you are found guilty of animal abuse, you could be fined up to $15,000, jailed up to 18 months, or both, even if it’s your first offence.

So, if you get caught abusing animals, be prepared to accept the harsh consequences.

Hopefully, the man in the video is identified and brought to justice before the poor kitten suffers even more injuries or loses its life.
