Tired of spending over $3 for a cup of bubble tea? Or maybe you are jealous of students who get theirs at only $2. Well, those days are now over.
Run, don’t walk because KOI is now selling bubble tea at $1.50. All you have to do is install an app and take a speed quiz. Easy peasy!
Download an App
So what exactly is this app you need to install?
Bubble tea lovers entering their app stores.
Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)’s IMconnected app available for both Android and IOS users.
What?
Yes, it sounds funny being completely unrelated to bubble tea, but this move comes as a collaboration between IMDA and KOI.
If you’re sceptical about what this app does, rest assured.
IMconnected gathers usage experience from users’ mobile phones, such as broadband speed, latency and coverage on mobile cellular networks including 3G and 4G, as well as on Wi-Fi networks.
The app uses voluntary crowdsourcing (like KOI drinkers) to improve the quality of experience for mobile broadband users.
This will then allow IMDA to have a better understanding of mobile broadband performance and take measures to improve consumers’ usage experience.
TLDR: You get cheap KOI bubble tea and IMDA gets some information that will benefit you. Win-win.

Take a Speed Quiz
After installing IMconnected, you will see a speed test on the first page that looks like this:
Simply click ‘start test’ and as its name goes, the test takes less than five seconds. You don’t even need to do anything.
Just show KOI staff your completed test and you can collect your bubble tea for only $1.50!
Unfortunately, if you are hoping to redeem a loaded drink filled with all your favourite toppings, you won’t be able to as this offer only applies to KOI’s bubble milk tea. Still a good deal though.

This offer is only available at the following outlets:
JumBo Milk Tea (KOI Express)
- Changi City Point
- Woodlands TEL MRT
