This morning, it’s alleged that Thanos just farted somewhere around Orchard.

Either that, or aliens have decided not to land on Yishun but on Orchard instead, because they want to see how people can smoke inside a yellow box without a leg out.

Lest you’re not rich enough to live in the central of Singapore, this’s what happened:

Loud “Explosions” Heard Across Singapore

A loud “boom” was heard in Orchard and Bukit Timah, and given that people won’t have KPKB on the internet due to a thunder, it confirm-plus-chop wasn’t a nature call from the clouds.

Over in a virtual world known as the Internet, a number of netizens commented about loud “booms” across Singapore, primarily in Orchard and Bukit Timah at around 11:30 a.m. today (27 April 2019)

They were so loud, windows allegedly rattled and shook, but so far, there has been no reported cases of window cracking. According to some people, the floor or ground even shook.

Pretty scary if you’d ask me, given that even a soft  thunder would scare the shit of out me.

Some netizens heard it a few times between 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

According to Channel NewsAsia, some netizens also reportedly heard the sounds in other parts of the country, including Toa Payoh, Marine Parade, Sembawang, Bukit Batok and Tampines.

I was at Bukit Batok between that period but didn’t hear anything.

SPF Stepped In

You know it’s not just you when SPF has to step in to investigate.

At 1:20 p.m., SPF posted a Facebook post, informing us that they knew about the “various loud sounds heard at approximately 11.30 a.m. at various locations at Orchard and Bukit Timah.”

The ever efficient SPF then conducted investigations immediately.

Soon after, an hour later, they updated their post, stating that they have “have conducted checks on the ground and nothing incriminating has been found. There have been no abnormalities and injuries reported.”

In other words, as of now, no one knows what happened.

Here’s SPF’s Facebook post in full:

They said that anyone with information about the “sounds” can call their hotline at 1800 255 0000.

Information can also be submitted online via www.police.gov.sg/iwitness or through the SGSecure app, which you should have it unless you’re using an old phone or you’ve deleted it.

All information will be kept confidential.

In the meantime, let’s just hope that it’s merely Thanos snapping his fingers, for today’s the first weekend that Avengers: Endgame is screening.
