In this day and age, pregnancy before marriage is not uncommon. Of course, it shouldn’t be encouraged, but there is no denying that it happens all around us.

Heck, you probably know one or two mutual friends who’ve had an oops baby.

But not all parents welcome an unplanned pregnancy with open arms, especially when their child is just 16 years old.

The parents of a 16-year-old boy did though. In fact, they stepped up and dropped everything to care for their new grandson full-time:

It all started when their 16-year-old son had an oopsie baby with his girlfriend, and out came a bundle of joy.

The 42-year-old and 38-year-old couple decided to become “full-time” grandparents and chose to take care of their grandson as if he was their own son.

The woman even went so far as to say that her grandson was more like a son than her own son. She said, “If only he were my child. He’s like my son more than my son!”

Now you must be wondering why she would say such a thing:

Oriental Daily reported that the father and his wife had married at a young age, and had had their first child at a very young age as well.

As a result, both of them had to work while their own parents cared for their son. Thus, they didn’t have much time with their own son.

Thus, when they found out that their 16-year-old son had impregnated his girlfriend, and their son asked them to take care of his son, the parents felt like they were becoming parents for the first time.

Just look at how happy they are with their grandchild!

And you can tell that she was very serious about her new role as a ‘mother’ because she even quit her job to care for her grandson full-time.

That’s dedication right there.

After she found out, she immediately got an ultrasound and gave birth four days later.
