We often hear cars being sent into workshops with severe damage suffered from an accident. Well not for this case. A Bentley was accidentally driven into a food court in Menara Millenium in Damansara but did not receive any huge damage aside from a dent at the front of the car.
According to the Straits Times, the luxury car driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator while attempting to retrieve a parking access card that had fallen on the floor of the vehicle.
The food court, on the other hand, suffered more damage than the car did. Broken tables and chairs were seen at the scene but luckily no one was injured as during that time, there were only a few people present in the food court.
The driver is considered really lucky since there was no one injured but this case is currently being investigated for carelessness under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
At least now we know one thing: Bentley is built like a tank. I wonder whether the accident would be the same should a Cherry QQ ram into the food court.
Maybe the diners would continue with their meals, not knowing what has just happened.
