Man Allegedly Hid in Women’s Toilet to Film Ladies & Got Caught Red-handed in Tampines

We’ve all heard about pinhole cameras in toilets, hotel rooms and changing rooms.

With technology moving faster than the speed of light, you would have expected perverts to take it up a notch by…attaching a camera on a mosquito and letting it fly into a flat in Yishun.

But no: this guy took it to a whole…old level.

Apparently, he hid in a female cubicle of a women’s toilet and when he came out, he was caught red-handed.

Here’s what happened.

Facebook User’s Disturbing Experience

A Facebook user , according to what she says, usually shares cats and dogs video. That’s like the best-est Facebook user we can have in the toxic Internet world—but yesterday, something happened that propelled her to share more than cats and dogs: she related an experience about a peeing tom that she caught red-handed.

Here’s the long post she wrote, accompanied by several images of the alleged pervert being held by someone:

Now, because it’s such a looooooong post, we’ve taken the liberty to summarize it in point forms for you, because Buzzfeed says so.

  • The Facebook user was in the toilet of NTUC Income building in Tampines
  • She and her friends spotted the man in another cubicle allegedly trying to film them peeing
  • The man apologized and claimed he had deleted all videos
  • The man “manhandled” one of them and tried to escape, but a male friend and two passers-by caught him
  • They called the police and when she looked at the phone, she found more than 10 videos that were filmed in the cubicle
  • The police combed through the CCTVs and arrested the man

There were also opinions about the management and the police, but as they’re opinions, you can read it direct from the post if you’d like to.

And anyways, guess you can say that Tampines is the new Yishun #justsaying

New Laws Have Been Proposed to Deal with Voyeurs

Currently, peeping tom (just see-see only) could be jailed for up to a year or/and fined. If the new law kicks in, it could increase to up to two years or/and a fine.

In addition, for people who film them, they could face up to two years imprisonment or a fine of up to $20,000. If the new law kicks in, there is also an optional caning. And if anyone distribute the footage, they can be jailed up to five years.

In other words, this fellow could be looking at jail-time, given that he had over ten videos.

So please: don’t do anything silly.
