Recently we have had tonnes of lorry vs cyclists showdowns on the road.
One such case was covered by my colleague yesterday here.
In it, everything was pretty much the same as the others; lorry corners/tries to bang cyclist, cyclist retaliates, except this time a real right hook connected.
While another was covered by pretty much every news outlet worth its salt, both mainstream or not back in January.
Which made a instant villain out of the cyclist, causing him to lose his job, street cred, and (thank God) his smirk in Singapore.
Today though, for a change in scenery and vehicular type, I present to you a Car Vs Car finale at a carpark, no less.

In a Stomper-alerted news, Stomp published an article recently, showing the “screechy” aftermath of what was allegedly a a parking dispute.

According to the post and the Stomp report, “the man was allegedly involved in a parking dispute with the owner of the car with the car cam prior to the alleged car scratching.”
“However, it is unclear what the dispute was about as it was not caught on video.”
In the video, the man can be seen first walking rightwards and out of the frame, only to return, this time walking way closer to the car and leftwards.

As he walks past the car the second time around, a loud, continuous and “screeching” sound can be heard, and this lasts till the moment he is out of frame.
Slight recoil on his entire left arm can also be surmised.

For many netizens, the sound, coupled with the man’s suspicious behaviour was a dead giveaway for his criminal act.

A request to remove the video
While the video was first posted on 26 Feb at 6:46 AM, SG Road Vigilante posted a subsequent comment on the post at 3:43 PM, sharing a request by the wife of the man shown in the video.
In the screenshot, she can be seen asking SG Road Vigilante to remove the video.
Blown-up wise it’s this.
Now, I don’t want to jump the gun, be labelled judge-y, or be practicing vigilantism.
But really, the video speaks for itself, no matter what led up to this vengeful act.
The uncle’s wife though, her comments are quite something else.
I mean to play the victim card and say that her car was likewise “also scratched”, and then to feign pretty ignorance as to not know why her husband was “singled out as the perpetrator”?
Damn, that’s some high-level deh gong and it’s assaulting my brains like her husband did the Subaru.
