I‘ve always thought that Singaporeans live a really busy life, and are always on the move.
Maybe I’m wrong.
Fairprice Being “Unfair”
Last year, a lady had shared a post online stating that the pre-packed sweet potatoes sold in Fairprice were 10% lighter than what their tag had claimed.
Apparently, this isn’t the first time such an incident has happened.
A month before this, the same lady had posted on Fairprice Singapore Facebook page as well.
I don’t know what amazes me more—the discrepancy of the product, or the fact that she has so much time on hand to check the product’s weight.
Fairprice has also since replied to the lady.
But The Drama Never Ends
Just when you thought it was over.
Just like my boss who doesn’t stop giving me work to do, netizens just can’t give Fairprice a break too.
On Sunday, 1st September 2019, a Facebook user had shared a video on Facebook page All Singapore Stuff.
The caption reads: “Un” Fairprice facial tissue. Packet says 10 tissues but on 7 pieces??
If you’ve watched the video, you would see the person starts out by showing that the tissue is imported by NTUC Fairprice Singapore.
Erm…isn’t the logo obvious enough?
Anyways.
He then proceeds to open the pack and starts counting the number of tissues in the pack.
He had also mentioned that his girlfriend had bought the tissues at a discounted price but felt that she shouldn’t have been shortchanged.
Then, suddenly, netizens start talking about how expensive Fairprice products are.
And we have all the detectives doing their work.
Then we have a kind soul saying that he found the missing 3 pieces
Oh my gosh, I love Facebook’s comment section.
Fairprice Responded
According to Mustsharenews, Fairprice had replied that they have conducted checks on the existing batches of tissues, but found no abnormalities and has yet to receive any other feedback from customers.
The company also urged the guy behind the video to contact Fairprice directly to assist in the investigation.
Additionally, they have warned the public members to not make inflammatory remarks or circulate unverified information.
Orh hor! Now Fairprice angry already hor!
